The Dragon Game is based on the Heartland of Legends (HoL), a route created by the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, which passes through mountainous areas, aiming to offer authentic experiences to visitors and tourists, and bring them closer to Cypriot nature, tradition, and way of life. HoL is already available online in an attempt to offer a collection of experiences to each visitor and to also offer the opportunity to villages, communities, producers and entrepreneurs to promote themselves through HoL, achieving synergy benefits.
The project is developed by CYENS ITICA & Museum Lab and CYENS 3D & Software Development Team.
The Deputy Ministry of Tourism has created a route called “Heartland of Legends (HoL)”, which passes through mountainous and rugged areas and offers authentic experiences to visitors to Cyprus, which bring them closer to Cypriot nature, tradition, and way of life of Cypriots. HoL is not a simple road map, but a collection of experiences, from which each visitor chooses to experience the experience that suits them personally.
In the context of the promotion of HoL and the encouragement of tourist traffic towards the hinterland and the increase of the visitation of these areas, it was decided to create a mobile AR game “treasure hunt”, which will take place in areas of HoL.
The Mobile AR Game is developed and designed by CYENS with the collaboration of ITICA MRG, Museum Lab MRG and 3D Software Development Team with the artistic consultation from Yiorgos Tsagkaris and Magdalena Zira.
