DESCRIPTION
The Color Palette of the Bosphorus From My Window Latitude 41,0708, Longitude 29,0564,” have crafted an unparalleled synergy between generative art and immersive experiences. Their collaboration combines Dr. Bil’s six-decade-long photographic homage to the Bosphorus, featuring over 15,000 meticulously captured images, with Segal’s prowess in digital algorithms, culminating in a groundbreaking installation that transports the senses.

Istanbul native Dr. Faruk Bil, a multi-talented artist, has devoted his life to capturing the ever-changing moods of the Bosphorus. His artistic journey spans photography, sculpture, engraving, and painting, each medium infused with his signature attention to detail and mastery of form and texture. Bil describes humankind’s exposure to art as a revelatory experience, where the initial interaction between the audience and the subject is an uncontrolled phenomenon that adds meaning to both sides reciprocally. Bil uses the colors of the Bosphorus as a metaphor to this interaction by stating that each encounter is a unique experience because of natural circumstances, time and sight; therefore, liberating the spectacle from a totalitarian conclusion. Bil and Segal have managed to create a constantly transforming happening, which is a simulation of the how life grows in diversity and multiplicity; ever changing through the actions of the people involved and subjective to the eyes of the beholder.
Romanian artist Calin Segal is a generative designer that has transformed code and algorithms into an expressive canvas. A former architecture student, Calin ventured into interactive and productive art, cofounding In-Dialog, a research studio exploring the intersection of art and technology.

Bil and Segal’s artistic fusion invites audiences to immerse themselves in the Bosphorus’ ever-evolving beauty, offering an experience as evocative as it is innovative.
